I live Surrounded by Scotland’s Great Spectacles of nature! Working full-time as an RSPB volunteer in NE Scotland, I’m unpaid, but rich in nature expereinces to discover, and gladly share. I’m based at RSPB’s Loch of Strathbeg Nature Reserve, working within a small team, managing the reserve alongside a few others including the impressive, towering sea cliffs of Troupe Head and Fowlsheugh. Work is varied and busy 5 days-a-week, but in my evenings and weekends I endeavour to explore and share the captivating local nature - from Strathbeg’s locals, whether birds, badgers or garden bugs; to great seasonal nature spectacles with huge colonies of breeding seabirds gracing the sea cliffs in summer; and thousands of geese and swans roosting on the the loch through winter.
